The Competition Rules contains detailed information on the competition format, language, location, target audience, difficulty level, scoring criteria, application and examination format, results inquiry process, and awards.
I. Competition Format
Individual competition, multiple choice questions (calculators and mobile phones are not allowed); 75 minutes allotted.
II. Competition Language
Bilingual (Chinese and English).
III. Competition Location
On-campus at participating schools nationwide (online assessment services are available upon school application).
IV. Target Audience
Students from Grade 1 to Grade 12
Younger students interested in mathematics;
Students who want to get started in competitions;
Children with school selection needs who require prestigious international certificates;
Those who want to maintain a high level of competition performance as early as possible and prepare in advance;
Those who want to improve their mathematical foundation and lay a solid foundation for future science studies.
V. Difficulty Level Description
This program is divided into 6 difficulty levels from primary school (Grade 1) to high school.
Level A: Primary School (Grades 1-2);
Level B: Primary School (Grades 3-4);
Level C: Primary School (Grades 5-6);
Level D: Secondary School (Grades 7-8, Years 7 & 8);
Level E: Secondary School (Grades 9-10, Years 9 & 10);
Level F: Secondary School (Grades 11-12);
Note: The Level A online exam provides Chinese question reading to ensure all participants can understand the questions. Students can choose to register for a level higher than their current grade level; choosing a level lower than their current grade level is not permitted.
VI. Grading Criteria
1. Levels A-B (Grades 1-4):
24 multiple-choice questions;
Total score: 120 points, starting score: 24 points;
Questions 1-8: 3 points each; Questions 9-16: 4 points each; Questions 17-24: 5 points each;
1 point deducted for each incorrect answer; no point deducted for unanswered questions.
2. Levels C-F (Grades 5-12):
30 multiple-choice questions;
Total score: 150 points, starting score: 30 points;
Questions 1-10: 3 points each; Questions 11-20: 4 points each; Questions 21-30: 5 points each;
1 point deducted for each incorrect answer; no point deducted for unanswered questions.
VII. Application and Examination Format
Examination Format:
The 12 grades are divided into 6 groups, with two grades per group, using the same set of test papers.
Application Rules:
1. Lower grade students can apply for higher grade levels, but higher grade students cannot apply for lower grade levels.
2. Because the different level exams are conducted at different times, a very small number of students with extra learning capacity can register for multiple level exams simultaneously. They can simply select the corresponding level during the registration process.

Step 2: Search for the "Asidan STEM Mindset Club" mini-program;
Step 3: Log in via WeChat - click "My Registration";
Step 4: You will see -MK - Results Inquiry/Certificate Download, etc.
IX. Awards
Global Awards:
Math Kangaroo Achievement Award: Awarded to students who achieve a perfect score.
China Awards:
Top Gold Award: Top 3%
Gold Award: Top 10%
Silver Award: Top 20%
Bronze Award: Top 35%
Proficiency Award: Top 25% of provinces/municipalities/autonomous regions/special administrative regions (excluding China awards)
*Each level will be awarded separately. Students who achieve a perfect score will also receive a trophy.
