1. How do I change my registration information?
Log in to the WeChat mini-program “Asidan International Science Assessment”, go to “My Registration”, and click “Personal Profile” to modify your personal information (to change your mobile number, click “My” under Account Security).
2. When will I receive the activity details and process instructions?
The activity details and process instructions will be sent to the email address you provided during registration during the week of the activity. Please check your email!
3. Can I get a refund?
Students can apply to withdraw after registration and payment if they have unforeseen circumstances. If the withdrawal is requested before the registration deadline, 25% of the registration fee will be deducted as academic materials and service fees; if requested after the registration deadline, no refund will be given.
4. Can I use an English-Chinese dictionary and a calculator?
Paper English-Chinese dictionaries are allowed. Calculators are not permitted.
5. When will the results be released?
Approximately 6-8 weeks after the activity ends (the exact time is subject to change). All results will be released on the “Asidan International Science Assessment” WeChat mini-program.
6. How to check scores and download electronic certificates?
After scores are released, log in to the WeChat mini-program “Asidan International Science Assessment”, go to “My Registration”, and click the corresponding item “Score Inquiry”/“Certificate Download” to check your scores and download your electronic certificate.
7. What is the format of the Kangaroo Math Exam?
The Kangaroo Math Exam is a 75-minute multiple-choice exam for students in grades 1-12.
Students in grades 1-4 have 24 questions;
Students in grade 5 and above have 30 questions.
Kindergarten first-grade students are welcome to participate.
8. Who is eligible to participate in the Kangaroo Math Exam?
Every student is eligible to participate at their school grade level.
9. When is the Kangaroo Math Competition held?
The Kangaroo Math Competition is held annually on the third Thursday of March.
10. Who creates and selects the Kangaroo Math Exam questions?
The International Kangaroo Math Committee (AKSF) (aksf.org) selects the questions.
11. What are the point values for the Kangaroo Math problems?
Each problem is worth one point.
One-third of the problems are worth 3 points each, one-third are worth 4 points each, and one-third are worth 5 points each. A student's score is their total score. There is no penalty for incorrect answers.
12. What is the best score in Kangaroo Math?
The best score for grades 1-4 is 96 points, and the best score for grades 5-12 is 120 points.
13. What is the participation fee?
The participation fee for the Kangaroo Math Competition is: $21 per student during the regular registration period (September 15th to December 15th), and $35 per student for late registration (December 16th to December 31st).
14. How long will your answer sheet be kept?
Answer sheets will be kept for eleven months after the competition ends.
15. Why was my score lower than expected?
There are several reasons why you might not have received points:
