I. 2026 Kangaroo Math Competition Schedule
Registration Deadline: March 17, 2026, 23:59:59
Exam Time: March 28, 2026 (Saturday)
Level A: 9:00-10:15 (75 minutes)
Levels B & C: 10:30-11:45 (75 minutes)
Levels D, E, & F: 14:00-15:15 (75 minutes)
II. Format and Content of the Kangaroo Math Competition
1. Competition Format:
Individual competition for students in grades 1-12, multiple-choice questions (calculators and mobile phones are not allowed); 75 minutes allotted.
2. Competition Language:
Bilingual (Chinese and English).
3. Competition Location:
At partner schools nationwide (online assessment services are available upon school application).
4. Difficulty Level:
This program is divided into 6 difficulty levels from grade 1 to high school, with two grades per group using the same test paper.

Note: The Level A online exam provides a Chinese question reading function to ensure that all candidates can understand the questions. Students can choose to register for a level exam higher than their grade level, but are not allowed to choose a level lower than their grade level.
5. Grading Criteria:
Levels A-B (Grades 1-4):
24 multiple-choice questions; total score 120 points, starting score 24 points; questions 1-8 are worth 3 points each, questions 9-16 are worth 4 points each, and questions 17-24 are worth 5 points each; 1 point is deducted for each incorrect answer, no points are deducted for unanswered questions.
Levels C-F (Grades 5-12):
30 multiple-choice questions; total score 150 points, starting score 30 points; questions 1-10 are worth 3 points each, questions 11-20 are worth 4 points each, and questions 21-30 are worth 5 points each; 1 point is deducted for each incorrect answer, no points are deducted for unanswered questions.
6. Competition Question Types:
These can be broadly categorized into five types:
Graphical questions; Calculation questions; Mathematical logic questions; Application questions; and Fun questions.
7. Application Rules:
(1) Students in lower grades can apply for higher-grade levels, but students in higher grades cannot apply for lower-grade levels;
(2) Because different level exams are conducted at different times, a very small number of students with extra learning capacity can apply for multiple level exams at the same time. They can simply register again and select the corresponding level.
III. Exam Content for Each Level of the Kangaroo Math Competition
The Kangaroo Race includes a variety of question types, such as calculation, logic, observation, pattern recognition, mazes, sorting, geometric rotation, geometric division, permutations and combinations, time management, and money management. The specific content tested varies depending on the level.

IV. Steps to check Kangaroo Math Competition results
The Math Kangaroo answers will be released one month after the first day of the competition.
Step 1: Open WeChat and tap the search bar to find mini-programs;
Step 2: Search for the Math Kangaroo International Academic Challenge mini-program;
Step 3: Log in with WeChat and click "My Registration";
Step 4: You will then see options such as -MK - Score Inquiry/Certificate Download, etc.
